Spring Outdoor Essentials

This beautiful weather has teased me, and I am mentally so ready for Spring. When warmer weather comes around you can find the Hubbard family in our favorite place: the great outdoors.

I love letting the girls play on our porch or yard, walks around our neighborhood, and playing at the park. Here are a few of our Springtime outdoor faves:

Spring Outdoor Essentials

Beauty product / Old Navy Lace Trim Sunhats For Baby - Bright white / Gap Printed Romper - royal fuchsia / Flower Straw Hat / Glitter Heart Sunglasses Carter's / Minnie Activity Ride On - Smyths Toys, $59 / Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon - Walmart.com / Mary Jane Jelly Sandals for Baby | Old Navy

For our look, I love cute rompers, casual outfits, hats, jellies and sunglasses. We spend a lot of time in our Radio Flyer Wagon, riding on the Minnie car or drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk.

For a treat, I love these silicone push pop popsicle mold. I also freeze YoKids yogurts a lot for the girls.

You'll also notice sunscreen made the list. I know it's not quite summer yet, but I'm am definitely one of those moms that puts sunscreen on my kids (and myself) as much as I can (we have a family history of skin cancer and why take a chance?).

Audrey uses Coopertone Water Babies or whatever is on sale, but Eleanor is a different story. Her skins is SUPER fair and sensitive. She breaks out in a rash with most sunscreens. Our pediatrician suggested Blue Lizard sunscreen last year and it has worked wonders for her. She doesn't breakout in a rash and the sun does not penetrate that stuff at all  (we spent a week on a island and she can back without a single tan line). I would use it as a last resort because it is pretty pricey - $20 for 8.75 ounces, but if you have a little one with sensitive skin it is definitely the way to go!

  2. Chalk, a wagon, bikes, and mineral based sunscreen are staples for us too!! Zulily just had badger sunscreen on their site last week for the price of chemical sunscreen - it's so hard to find good deals on mineral sunscreens, hopefully they'll run it again!
